I often wonder what motivates a person to go to great length to create a mugshot in a difficult to manipulate medium. A good example is this Mexican Cat, found on a market in D.F., or Mexico City, that was fashioned entirely in cloth. Each facet was carefully cut out, hemmed and stitched to another piece of cloth to then be attached to a background that also had cut-outs showing different sections of yet another background. The final result is an image that can be appreciated from afar as well as nearby, both for the colorful decoration and the effort to create it. The question still remains, why? I guess the answer is; why not!
